Chelseamusic is a full service facility serving the needs of the music industry world wide. At the heart of our recording facility is an IZ Radar 24 track hard disc recording system , a Studer A80 MK III 24-track analog machine and a Mitsubishi X850 32-track digital recorder, which has been modified using Apogee S filters in & out as well as modifications to improve transients by David LaBarre. Our main control room is equipped with a highly modified, automated, Harrison MR3 console. Two track mix down format choices are: Studer 1/4" analog, Modified 3M-79 1/2" analog, or R-DAT through a Wadia A/D converter.
Our outboard equipment includes: AMS, Digitech, Ibanez, Korg, Lexicon, Marshall, and Yamaha digital processors and reverbs, a complete Valley People Modular rack system, custom Valley People mic preamplifiers, custom Harrison sub-mixer with Series 10 mic preamplifiers, custom West sub-mixer, DBX over easy compressors, API 525x compressor, DBX subsonic synthesizer, CBS Automax tube compressor, UREI 1176 & LA3A compressors/limiters, additional individual delay lines and EQ, a complete Rebis Rack system, and a West three dimensional spreader,(one of only two in the world). Our microphone selection includes everything from Studer to Neumann to AKG. The studio area is also equipped with a seven foot Yamaha Grand Piano (that records beautifully), Marshall, Boogie and various Fender guitar amplifiers, a complete Pearl drum set with hardware and D-Drum triggers. We also have wide variety of percussion instruments, and synthesizers. The recording studio easily accommodates rhythm sections, singers, string sections and horn sections if required.
Chelsea also offers music production and arrangement services for many different musical styles and uses including custom music tracks for live performances.
